I was intrigued by the peacefulness of yoga, having grown up in a competitve sports family. I played college basketball and also coached Vermilion High School women’s basketball. Everything changed for me one evening when a friend invited me to a class. That night I discovered a new passion for the magic of yoga. While living in Washington DC, I was able to join the CorePower Yoga team and learned from some of the very best in their rigorous hot power vinyasa teacher training programs. The hustle of DC gave me the motivation to dig deeper into the spirituality and physicality of the practice.

Injuries as a result of poor form and working in retail led me to my mentor – Yoga Journal contributor and physical therapist Dr. Ariele Foster. She fired up a passion for the anatomical focuses in my teaching and gave me the drive to continue through her programs.

My ultimate goal for everyone who joins me on the mat is to infuse the lessons learned in yoga into our everyday lives. I am excited to grow as I gain experience and learn more with you everyday.
