I grew up playing competitive sports so I’ve always approached exercise with an impatient, “performance” mentality. I would skip out on “boring”, foundational fitness so that I could do things to impress others. But when I went through teacher training, I did some emotional healing and let go of my competitive mindset. That’s when I fell in LOVE with practicing the basics of yoga! So now I aim to create the same space in my Beginner’s classes where my students can meet themselves exactly where they are TRULY at in their fitness, have compassion for themselves, enjoy practicing the basics, & even learn to love the journey of life itself!
